There are many birds that can be seen out of water. They include raptors like bald Eagles and Ospreys as well as shorebirds like great Blue Herons and Egrets. Seabirds include magnificent frigatebirds (terns) and terns. There are also deer sometimes found on the island.

We will bring you as close as we can to dolphins, while also ensuring their safety. The dolphins decide how close they want and how much interaction they want. "Passive observation" is a practice that allows dolphins to approach us. Our guests often have unforgettable encounters with dolphins at St. Andrews Bay. They are playful and interactive and will always remember them.

Our dolphin and island tours take you to Shell Island, where you can also observe dolphins. We can walk along the shore, look for shells, wade and swim in the protected waters. You will also see a variety of marine species.

Our 21-foot and 23 foot Carolina Skiffs are stable, comfortable and stable. The boat has a central console design that maximizes open space and allows for easy movement. We will take you as close to dolphins and ensure your safety as well as their safety. The dolphins will decide how close or far they want to be able to interact with them. We practice passive observation, which simply means we let the dolphins approach us. Our dolphins in St. Andrews Bay can be extremely playful and interactive. Many of our guests have memorable encounters with them.

Our guides have spent many years studying dolphin behavior and are skilled at finding them and instructing guests how to get into the water to observe them in their natural environment. Your captain will also snorkel with you, showing you starfish, pufferfish and welch conchs.

We often see a variety starfish, sanddollars, bay scallops and whelks. Also, conchs up 21 inches long, seahorses and urchins as well as hermit crabs and other species of crabs are all common. These animals can be brought to surface and photographed. Large containers are brought so that everyone can see them close up before they're released into the bay. You can take home any shells that are not made of living creatures.

We will depart into Historic Grand Lagoon for a 25-minute relaxing cruise out to our snorkel area, Shell Island! Along the way, be on the lookout for dolphins and other sea animals in their natural habitat. When we arrive, we will anchor in the Gulf of Mexico or along Shell Island where you can snorkel for seashells and catch a glimpse of the underwater world, learn about local sea-life, or just relax and float while you take in the sun. You can also wade through the shallow water onto Shell Island to hunt for shells. After we have spent some time at Shell Island, we will end the trip with a ride out to the Gulf of Mexico to search for dolphins and sight-see along the way.

Daily cruises depart based on participants. Low demand means that Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays are often closed in the Fall and Winter. However, all days will be listed on the booking calendar. Check the calendar to see any changes in departure times.
